Unique or Nothing
In a world of massive mass products, we hunger for unique things.
Everyone. from your family members to your co-workers feels it.
Everything has become so cheap to produce that we forget those things that cannot be mass-produced.
But that also means that what is unique has never been more powerful than it is now.

The Rooster Throne

I’m a fan of a Danish podcast called “Scientifically Challenged” — a great show full of humor.
One day, while I was listening, they announced a live tour. One of the hosts constantly talks about chickens and roosters, so I thought: wouldn’t it be hilarious if he had a Rooster Throne?
So I emailed them an AI concept art and a plan with a budget. To my delight, they found it just as funny as I did.
Budget limits meant it had to be simple, so the chair itself — and the STL files for the head and wings — were purchased. The rest was scaled up, built, and hand-painted by me, designed as a compact, travel-friendly setup for touring.
Huge thanks to Scientifically Challenged for letting me bring this idea to life!
Note: The wings move when the rocking chair rocks.
The Large Led Like Icon

A local theater needed a large “Like” icon for a production.
The scenographer created a sketch and specified the requirements for the LED lighting.
Multiple layers of plywood were glued together and then routed — after a long time spent sketching out the shape. The result was solid enough to move around on wheels, and the actors were even able to swing on it and perform tricks.
In collaboration with the lighting technician, we made it fully wireless and battery-powered.
The Julekalender

The Julekalender is a Danish Christmas TV masterpiece.
For a stage production inspired by the show, they needed a rotating platform with scenography that captured its spirit.
One side featured a traditional Danish 1970s kitchen, and the other side an old gnome cave.
I built both entirely from scratch, and it was a true delight to recreate something I grew up watching as a child.
A massive amount of reclaimed wood was used for the cave side, which I painted lightly to preserve the natural grain.
The kitchen side was built with metal-coated set pieces, allowing the large amount of Christmas decorations to be quickly attached and removed during scene changes.

The Cardboard Adventure
A scenographer wanted a large set design, but we didn’t have the manpower or the budget to make it happen.
So, I made some calls and managed to get massive non-flammable cardboard panels to build with.
It was a bit of a challenge, but everything you see here (except the stairs) is made entirely out of cardboard.
A Grotesque Toilet

A challenging production — but the feeling of a grotesque public nightmare toilet was successfully created.
The scenographer was extremely detail-oriented, and the result is without a doubt unique.
Working with heavy, thick plastic and an angled stage was a big challenge, but we managed to pull it off.
In this production, I had more of a production leader role than a hands-on one, but my expertise in production proved invaluable.
Before Sinister Ploy Studio
For six years I worked on 50+ productions.
It’s been a crazy journey — from small, tight-budget shows to some of the largest productions in Scandinavia.
I feel blessed to have try’ed so many different types of productions.
Everything from Opera, High End Modern Art, Musical, Historical Museums, to Movie Productions.
Much come to those who have an open mind and heart.
Here are some of the pictures from some of those productions.
